Exploration Rights

CHINA

CHNR, through its subsidiaries and associates, owns 14 mineral rights in China, which is summarized as follows:

♦ Anhui Province

Sichong Gold-silver-leand-zinc Mine
The property, covering a site area of 5.20 km2, is estimated to be a gold, silver, lead and zinc polymetallic mine with excellent exploration prognosis. An ore bearing mineralization belt over 1000 meters long, with silver-copper ore bodies partially, were found on surface by previous drilling and trenching exploration activities.

♦ Guangdong Province

Jinshizhang Silver Polymetallic Mine
The property, covering a site area of 52.93 km2, is estimated to be a silver, lead, zinc and copper polymetallic mine with excellent exploration prognosis. To date, we are in the process of geochemical exploration, surveying and application of mining permits. Trenching and drilling activities are also in progress.

♦ Hainan Province

Zhengmianling Copper Polymetallic Mine
This property, covering a site area of 19.05 km2, is estimated to have a copper-molybdenum deposit with good exploration prognosis. The first stage of geochemical exploration has already been completed.
 
Exploration of Jinling Gold Mine
The property, covering a site area of 38.84 km2, is estimated to have a gold deposit. The first stage of geochemical exploration has already been completed. Field geology, second stage exploration work, trenching and drilling activities are expected to commence in 2009.
 
Laomaogou Lead-Zinc Mine
Covering a site area of 5.49 km2, this property with a lead-zinc deposit and a gold deposit, has favourable mining potentials. The first stage geochemical exploration has already been completed. A detailed exploration plan will be formulated following receipt and evaluation of the formal report of geochemical exploration.
 
Hanxiao Copper Mine
The property, covering a site area of 8.55 km2 has a lead-zinc deposit and a molybdenum polymetallic deposit with favourable mineralization potentials. The first stage geochemical exploration has already been performed. A detailed exploration plan will be formulated following receipt and evaluation of the formal report of geochemical exploration.
 
Dadao Molybdenum-Lead Zinc Mine
The property, estimated to have a favourable exploration prospect of molybdenum-lead-zinc polymetallic deposits, covers a site area of 12.21 km2. The first stage geochemical exploration has already been performed. A detailed exploration plan will be formulated following receipt and evaluation of the formal report of geochemical exploration.
 
Baowenling Molybdenum-Lead-Zinc Mine
This property, covering a site area of 42.35 km2, has good prospects of large and medium size copper and molybdenum deposits. The first stage geochemical exploration has already been done. A detailed exploration plan will be formulated following receipt and evaluation of the formal report of geochemical exploration.
 
Daogangling Lead-Zinc Mine
Covering a site area of 14.60 km2, the property shows a strong sign of metallogenic mineralization. The first stage geochemical exploration has already been completed. Further explorations, trenching and drilling activities are expected to be carried out in 2009.
 
Dayinling Copper Polymetallic Mine
This property, with favourable prospects of polymetallic mineralization, covers a site area of 26.33 km2. The first stage geochemical exploration has been completed.
 
Xinyuan Lead-Zinc Mine
Covering a site area of 5.08 km2, with a promising mining prospect, this property has medium-grade lead and zinc ore bodies outcrops, which are also associated with gold and silver. The first stage geochemical exploration has already been performed. A detailed exploration plan will be formulated following receipt and evaluation of the formal report of geochemical exploration.
 
Yitong Copper Polymetallic Mine
The property, believed to have a good metallogenic potential for molybdenum-copper and gold deposits, covers a site area of 26.66 km2. The first stage geochemical exploration has already been performed. A detailed exploration plan will be formulated following receipt and evaluation of the formal report of geochemical exploration.
 
Baoshi Copper Polymetallic Mine
This property, covering a site area of 26.47 km2, is estimated to have good potential of yielding molybdenum-copper and gold deposits. The first stage geochemical exploration, field geology work and second stage geochemical exploration have already been completed. Geophysics exploration is being carried out. Trenching activity and drilling activity are pending the general survey result of two adjacent properties owned by third parties.
 
Haoganling Molybdenum Copper Mine
Covering a site area of 40.72 km2, this property is estimated to have molybdenum-copper deposit. The first stage geochemical exploration, the field geology work and the second stage geochemical exploration have already been completed.
